Redraws, Rebuilt: Smarter, Simpler, Split

Despite our best efforts and yours, sometimes, the need for a redraw can't be avoided, whether it's due to insufficient sample volume, contamination, patient error, hemolysis, or other uncontrollable factors.

We always strive to mitigate these issues by providing clear handling instructions and overnight shipping for our kits. However, transit issues and other unforeseen problems can still occur. When they do, we are committed to making the redraw process as smooth and efficient as possible.

That’s why we’re excited to introduce Automatic Advanced Redraw, a feature designed to make handling test redraws smoother and more efficient. Whether you’re dealing with multiple pending samples or TNP (Test Not Performed) issues, this tool will help you minimize disruptions and focus on delivering exceptional care.

Introducing Automatic Advanced Redraw

Our latest redraw functions enable you to manage required redraws with ease while keeping your focus on patient care:

two ways to handle redraws

  • Automate Administrative Tasks: When a TNP issue occurs, provider action is no longer necessary. With Automatic Redraw, your patient’s redraw request is automatically initiated, and a kit is dispatched using the original delivery method. This ensures that all redraws are handled promptly, without any extra steps on your part.

  • Stay in Control: Prefer to manage redraws yourself? No problem. With Manual Advanced Redraw, you can still request a redraw whenever a test requires recollection, with the added benefit of being able to change the delivery method. Plus, if additional TNP issues arise, those samples are automatically included in your original request—no need to track down each test individually.

  • Keep Tabs on Status Updates: Whether you opt for manual or automatic redraws, you can easily monitor the status of each request. The Order Status indicator in the Patients tab will update to show “Redraw Order” once the request has been initiated. You also have the option to receive notifications when redraw orders are automatically placed on your behalf, keeping you informed without interrupting your workflow.

Designed in Response to Provider Challenges

We developed this redraw system to save you time and streamline patient care. No more tracking multiple test samples or managing tedious redraw requests. This tool handles it for you so you can stay focused on your patients.

We also separated blood kits and non-blood kits to better match how each type of sample is collected and processed. Non-blood kits are typically easier for patients to collect and are often returned and processed more quickly. By handling these samples separately, we can begin processing results and releasing preliminary reports sooner without waiting for all samples to be complete.

With less administrative overhead and faster access to results, you can keep care moving and spend more time where it matters most–supporting your patients.

The Final Word

Automatic Redraw simplifies the redraw process and minimizes disruptions in your daily workflow. Whether you choose to manage redraws manually or let the system handle them automatically, this feature is designed to enhance efficiency while keeping patient care at the forefront.
